The IHH Sky Race™ | Merdeka 118 is back on 22 and 23 August 2026, with IHH Healthcare Malaysia announced as the new title partner for the next three years.
After a successful debut, this year’s event expands to two days and welcomes up to 9,000 participants to take on 118 floors and 2,845 steps to the top of Merdeka 118, Malaysia’s tallest building and the second tallest building in the world.
Open to individuals and teams of three, the climb is designed for everyone, from elite athletes and fitness enthusiasts to first-time participants looking to tick off a bucket list experience.
Beyond the race, the partnership with IHH Healthcare Malaysia promotes healthier lifestyles through community engagement, wellness programmes, pre-event activities and on-site medical support.
Supported by EBENE, Oligo, the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) and the Malaysian Towerrunning Association (MTA), The IHH Sky Race™ continues to grow as one of Asia’s leading tower running events, placing Kuala Lumpur alongside world-famous races such as the Empire State Building Run Up, Eiffel Tower Vertical Race and Taipei 101 Run Up.
