Just three months after its official market launch in June, homegrown frozen yoghurt brand Yobe Malaysia is already looking ahead to its next stage of growth, with plans to reach 32 Yobe Crafted outlets nationwide by the end of 2027.
Since entering the market, Yobe Malaysia has opened five Yobe Crafted outlets and rolled out 17 Yobe Mini App to Cup Vending units. The brand plans to add another seven Yobe Crafted outlets by the end of 2026, before accelerating its nationwide expansion in 2027.
The next phase of growth will see Yobe Malaysia move into key markets across Peninsular Malaysia, including Southern Malaysia and the East Coast, while also expanding its presence in Sabah and Sarawak.
“The encouraging response during our first three months has strengthened our confidence in Yobe Malaysia’s growth potential. We are ready to scale our multi-format business model and work towards 32 Yobe Crafted outlets nationwide by the end of 2027,” said Leon Tang, Chief Executive Officer of Yobe Malaysia.
At the heart of the expansion is Yobe Malaysia’s multi format business model, which includes Yobe Crafted outlets, Yobe Mini App to Cup Vending units and Yobe Crafted Flagship locations.
Each format is designed to cater to different consumer needs while making Yobe’s frozen yoghurt and dessert range more accessible. The Yobe Crafted Flagship locations will offer the brand’s full menu alongside new product innovations and exclusive hidden menu items.
Yobe Malaysia positions its premium Greek yoghurt based frozen yoghurt swirl as an affordable luxury designed for everyday indulgence. The brand is also integrating its retail outlets and vending network into the Yobe App, creating a connected digital ecosystem that allows customers to access Yobe products through multiple touchpoints.
“With the injection of fresh capital, this allows us to seamlessly integrate our Yobe Crafted retail outlets and Yobe Mini vending ecosystem into our Yobe App, this digital integration is the catalyst that accelerates our grand vision: pioneering Southeast Asia’s very first App-to-Cup frozen yoghurt and dessert brand,” said Leon Tang.
Beyond outlet expansion, Yobe Malaysia is also placing a strong focus on building its brand among Malaysian consumers. In August 2026, the company appointed Malaysian M pop group ALPHA as its first brand ambassador, introducing a series of fan focused experiences including collectible photocards, blind boxes and limited edition merchandise.
The collaboration forms part of Yobe Malaysia’s broader ambition to establish itself as a culturally relevant homegrown brand, guided by its message, “Swirled in Malaysia, for the World.”
With its combination of physical outlets, vending units, digital integration and brand collaborations, Yobe Malaysia aims to build a wider presence across the country while continuing to make frozen yoghurt more accessible to Malaysian consumers.
